- Cassie Springer Ayeni was selected as a Northern California attorney in the "Top 50 Women" List by Super Lawyers in July 2014, a "Top 40 under 40" attorney by the National Trial Lawyers in March 2014, a "Top 20 under 40" attorney in California by the Daily Journal in January 2012, as well as one of 50 lawyers on the "Fast Track" by the Recorder in June 2012. Ms. Springer Ayeni was also nominated to become a Fellow of the American Bar Foundation in March 2014.
- Michelle Roberts is a recognized authority on ERISA litigation and is asked to write and speak regularly on developments in the law, including as a contributing author to the EMPLOYEE BENEFITS LAW publication, an author of several columns for the San Francisco/Los Angeles Daily Journal, and pro bono amicus curiae brief writing for the United Policyholders. She has presented on ERISA developments at conferences and seminars sponsored by the National Employment Lawyers Association (NELA), the Consumer Attorneys Association of Los Angeles (CAALA), the ABA's Section of Labor & Employment Law Employee Benefits Committee (EBC), the Consumer Attorneys of California (CAOC), the Rossdale Group LLP, and the American Association for Justice (AAJ).
- Cassie Springer Ayeni is also a recognized authority on ERISA best practices and has shared her expertise in numerous forums, including for the ABA and Joint Committee on Employee Benefits, California Women Lawyers' Annual Conference, ERISA Litigation National Institute Conference, the Western Pension & Benefits Conference, and Strafford Live CLE Webinars. She has also testified before the California Department of Insurance regarding providing sufficient notification to plan participants of offset provisions, and before the Health and Disability Committee of the National Association of Insurance Commissioners regarding prohibiting discretionary clauses in ERISA disability plans.
- Michelle Roberts has been selected to serve in several leadership positions in the legal community, including as Vice President for Oakland for the Federal Bar Association, where she instituted a Social Media presence for the Northern District of California Chapter and serves as the Site Administrator; Co-chair of the Ethics Subcommittee, Social Media Chair and Liaison to the Section's Diversity in the Legal Profession Standing Committee for the ABA Employee Benefits Committee; Co-chair of the Board of Directors, Event Committee member, Strategic Planning Committee member for the AIDS Legal Referral Panel; and Supervising Attorney for the LAS-ELC Workers' Rights Clinic.
